Im getting an OVERLOAD alarm.
Applies to HD-500, EA-20, & Tesla systems only.
HD-500, EA-20 and Tesla Systems: Check for signs of arcing and/or water leaks along the work coil. Remove coil and clean. Pay close attention to the gap at the coil lead area.
EA-20 Systems: Usually caused by a bad capacitor in the tank circuit. Remove and disassemble the tank circuit. Locate the bad cap and replace. May also be caused by a bad oscillator tube. If the capacitors and oscillator tubes are OK, you may have a bad diode or transformer. If your system has a copper strap, check that the strap is not broken. If have a split coil with contacts, check that the contacts are making a good connection.
HD-500 Systems: Usually the oscillator tube (especially if Load meter climbs past the usual operating point), may also be the filament transformer. Also check the grid capacitors located across the top of the generator. If the capacitors and oscillator tubes are OK, you may have a bad diode or plate transformer (often indicated by a humming sound). If your system has a copper strap, check that the strap is not broken. If have a split coil with contacts, check that the contacts are making a good connection.
